I didn’t know I had unhealed trauma. For 26 years, I’ve gone about life feeling like I was supposed to have this pessimistic outlook on the world, thanks to my low self-esteem. But Kajol is honestly such a gem and a wonderful therapist. She first enlightened me on "inner child work," what it means, and how I could find mine. We have such intimate conversations, and I found myself talking about situations I didn’t think were bothering me but actually were. I feel much lighter now, and I have this new hope that I want to cling to.
I was extremely neglected as a child, and my parents would argue all the time. I grew up having to learn most of my childhood life lessons on my own, and I feel like that influenced my social relationships. Divya, my therapist, took the time to break down my concerns and ask questions that made me go back to my childhood days and tackle those thoughts I kept hidden for years. We worked through a few coping techniques, which felt like medicine for a reopened wound. I feel a lot more confident in myself now; I’m even killing it at work! Thank you, Divya, and Heart It Out.
If you heard about the term “inner child", you’d probably feel like it’s some made-up notion. But it’s not. I can vouch for it. Reconnecting with my inner child, understanding what it was trying to tell me all these years, and giving it space to heal was the best thing I ever did for myself. I can tell that Kajol, my online counsellor, is highly experienced in inner child healing. Because she has such an open, empathetic, and understanding approach to it. I’m learning so much about myself, and I will definitely be booking more sessions to complete my mental health journey.
Going for that individual therapy session felt SO refreshing. I learned insights about myself I’d never imagined before. My therapist, Poorvasha, helped me reconnect with my inner child and address wounds that had gone unnoticed. Now that I have discovered my inner child, Poorvasha is helping me accomplish my goals and come full circle with my self-identity. The booking process is also super easy, and all it took for me was just a few clicks and a whole lot of support. I’m literally grateful for all the amazing work Heart It Out does.
I am so glad I came across this “inner child” concept. When I first heard about it, I was curious, but I didn’t know that I needed counselling. Especially because I’ve gotten so used to trying to meet people's expectations. I didn’t know it was because of my childhood trauma. I’ve been going for individual therapy sessions with Heart It Out psychologist Sneha, and I have so many unhealed wounds that need to be addressed. But I never would have known if it weren’t for awareness being raised. Lesson noted: take the time to analyse your wellbeing, and don’t avoid therapy!
