Heart It Out Academy is an education and training initiative focused on making psychology, mental health, and people-focused learning more accessible, engaging, and practical.

We’re looking for a Content Creator Intern who can bring psychology and mental health conversations to life through engaging, relatable, and trend-aware content.

This role is ideal for someone who is outgoing, curious, creative, comfortable on camera, and not afraid to walk up to a stranger and ask a question.
Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Psychology, Mass Communication, Media, or a related field.
Students / recent graduates from any stream may apply if they have a strong content portfolio.
Must be based in Bangalore and comfortable travelling locally for shoots.
Previous experience creating and editing trending Reels is strongly preferred (for personal page, projects, or brands).
Portfolio or Instagram link is mandatory with your application.
Extremely outgoing, confident, and street-smart — comfortable approaching strangers for interviews and social experiments.
Comfortable being on camera and bringing high energy, clarity, and personality to videos.
Strong spoken and written English communication skills (Hindi and/or Kannada is an added advantage).
Comfortable editing independently using tools such as CapCut, InShot, VN, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
Basic understanding of psychology and sensitivity towards mental health-related topics.
Curious about people, internet culture, trends, and what makes content interesting and shareable.
Ability to work independently, experiment with ideas, take feedback, and move quickly from idea to execution.
Create short-form content for Instagram and other social media platforms, especially Reels and trend-driven content.
Ideate, script, shoot, and edit engaging videos around psychology, mental health, relationships, workplace behaviour, and everyday human experiences.
Conduct street interviews, vox pops, social experiments, and public-reaction content.
Confidently approach strangers in public spaces and make them comfortable on camera.
Appear in videos and communicate ideas with energy, clarity, and personality.
Stay updated on Instagram trends, viral formats, sounds, hooks, editing styles, and emerging content formats.
Shoot and edit content independently using a phone or laptop.
Collaborate with the Academy team to turn educational concepts into content that feels fun, accessible, relevant, and shareable.
Adapt content based on audience response, trends, and performance.
Ensure that mental health and psychology-related content is communicated responsibly and sensitively.

✨ Who Will Thrive in This Role?

“Someone who sees a crowded street and thinks, ‘I wonder what people would say if we asked them this?’”

If you’re the person who can turn an everyday observation into a Reel, confidently approach a stranger, jump in front of the camera, and then edit the whole thing into something people actually want to watch, we’d love to hear from you!

📌 Important Application Requirement

Please include your portfolio and/or Instagram profile with your application.

We’re particularly interested in seeing Reels you have personally conceptualised, shot, edited, or appeared in. If you’ve done street interviews, vox pops, social experiments, trend-based content, or worked on content for a brand, we’d love to see those as well.
