Are there any warning signs of a Mental Illness?

A few common warning signs are- changes in sleep, appetite & mood; withdrawal from social life & loss of interest in activities previously enjoyed; difficulty performing familiar tasks; problems with concentration, memory or logical thought & speech; heightened sensitivity to sights, sounds, smells or touch; a vague feeling of being disconnected from oneself or one’s surroundings, and fear or suspiciousness of others, or a strong persistent nervous feeling. If you notice any of these in someone, click Help A Friend for some informative pointers. Alternatively, you could reach out to us on (+91) 789-255-1372, or [email protected] for support.

How do I know if I need Therapy?

Ask yourself- are you distressed about something, or for no reason at all? Are you facing difficulties in your relationships, at work, or at home? Do some feelings get too intense or difficult to handle sometimes, thereby interfering with your life, or your social/ academic/ individual functioning? Do you feel like you’re not content with who you are? Do you want to get to know more about yourself and enrich your self-awareness? Please note, the "size" of your problem does not indicate whether you should seek help or not. How you feel about it does. Book A Session now!

For how long will I need Therapy?

With therapy, there usually is no pre-defined duration or number of sessions. It can last anywhere from one session or a few sessions, to several weeks, months or even years worth of therapy. It all depends on your needs, presenting problems, expectations, goals, and the type of therapy. Regardless, it is entirely your decision to continue, stop, or take a break from therapy. We recommend that you discuss your goals of therapy with your therapist, and raise any questions or concerns that can help create a tentative timeline.
